Hammer Tip Sets

from $19.50
sale

After nearly a year of R&D and production tweaks we are beyond happy to offer up these hammer tips. They are excellent all around tips for replacing both tear-drop and square-style hammer tips. We could write an essay at this point (we sort of did in our blog) about these little rubber chunks but here’s the highlight list:

  • True Tone - These tips give the clearest most authentic Rhodes tone and sound available. Balanced attack and sustain.

  • Refined Striking Surface - Each tip has a properly sized and angled striking surface for a clean strike and a clean tone.

  • Gradual Height Advance - our tips increase height in 3 steps across the board, but more gradually allowing easier, more consistent, regulation

  • High Quality Materials - To reduce wear the solid rubber tips are a neoprene/nitrile blend which is more resistant to impact and will last longer.

  • Advanced Production Techniques - Our maple tips are double wrapped in small batches (sounds crazy but it’s true!) to ensure an even application of 2 different tubings.

  • Made in USA - from the solid rubber, to the maple core, to the hand cut treble tips these are 100% made in America with fair labor and quality materials.

  • Comes with glue and instructions - not really a highlight, but good to know.

We’re really proud to bring this product to market because offering great parts at great prices means more keyboards can stay in service and players can focus on playing. Thanks to all our customers over the last few years. We’ll keep adding products and offering assistance in any way we can.

NOTE: We now offer single varieties of hammer tips in small and large quantities!

Technical note: Shore value is as follows - 40,50,70,90,Wood The red tip being really the only variation from original spec, which was done for both production and durability. All hammer tips will sound best with new grommets and often replacing the wooden tips will allow the removal of many tone bar clips.
